Our handmade ceramic tile packages are available as mosaic tile compositions for purchase per sq ft, or as 95% completed panels which can be hung on french cleats and finished on site.
They are handcrafted one at a time by Jeff Martin in his ceramic studio from an historically significant Canadian clay deposit named Medalta. Medalta stoneware is the closest match to porcelain in a stoneware body and glazed stoneware performs remarkably well in many applications.
Our in-house developed tile forms have been developed to offer resolution to architectural detailing and storytelling, with gesture and sculpture acting as protagonist.

SOFT PLEAT SYSTEM
Like the folds of a cactus. We mix simple sculptural softpleated tiles with forms that invoke inchworms, celtic knots, sigils, compressions in a tree trunk, molten lava, and more. And architectural elements to resolve inside corners, outside edges, 3 point corners, and more.
2 PLEAT, 3 PLEAT, 4 PLEAT, 5 PLEAT and more available.
Custom sizing and glazing available.

HARD PLEAT SYSTEM
Firm edges and sharper shadows to filter light with a more pristine edge. No less tactile or softly manipulatable than the soft pleat system. The hard pleats are intended for a more focused implementation, and often perform well in smaller scale.
Offering similar architectural resolve to outside corners and edge treatments, with as many or moves to explore in a sculptural tone.
Also available in custom sizes and glazes.

SCROLL PLEAT SYSTEM
Sculptural only in the sense that these are very meticulously handmade. The ridgity of expression is filtered to simply the idea and the gentle rhythm these tiles produce en masse. For sculptural integrations we recommend mixing and matching these simple tiles with our soft pleat system.
Available in custom lengths, 4” wide. Custom glazes available.

DRY-CRACKED SYSTEM
Self Actualizing tiles which start as a large rolled sheet of clay, draped over a bas-relief carved form. As the clay dries it shrinks and cracks into it’s own system of tiles. The carved wooden sigil form becomes the mounting surface. Available in large scale architectural applications.
Custom glazes available.

SANDMOLDED SYSTEM
Using sand to form ovoid irregular, but symmetrical tile packages with larger scale individual tiles applied to carved plywood substrate. Inquire for customization.
Custom sizing, glazes, and scale available.

COOPERED SYSTEM
A flat tile system developed to wrap around and celebrate curves, along the architecture of a form to be the protagonist of the story. Featuring sculptural interventions, coping edges, and forms which can be found in a public third space such as a swimming pool or pond.
Available in custom sizes, radii, and applications (yes, including swimming pools)
