Daithi O'beag is the Studio Director at Jeff Martin Joinery. Raised in Ireland, he learned traditional stone carving from his father. After studying Industrial Design, he has pursued a variety of work in different craft based industries, before landing at our studio. Dave is the head of technology and process refinement at our practice. He has an uncanny ability to work and imagine in stone, wood, bronze, clay, glass, and the digital realm. When you receive a piece with Dave's thumbprint carved into the bottom of the work, it is emblematic of the best handmade furniture you can buy.
Dave has worked for the studio for a decade, and we are proud to announce his contribution to our work culture, by giving him a well earned title of coming in as a product designer for 2024.
Jeff Martin is Creative Director of the practice. Interested in surface, sculpture, painting, manipulation of materials, research, and fabrication processes. Jeff has maintained a studio practice for 15 years. Now Jeff focuses primarily on new design work, prototypes, and the development of systems to produce the work. He happily is the first point of contact at his studio, so when you reach out for a quote, to set up a studio tour, to help handle a change order in your custom table - Jeff will be there guiding you through it.
Floaters. We have had more than a few exceptional people work for us. Published writers, artists, former Olympians, sculptors, and ski bums. And when we are busy very often you will see them in our shop working with one of our lead fabricators.
