Stoneware, platinum, and molten stones burst from this exceptional example from the late 2010s which later served as a platform for deeper experimentation in Ishihaze stone bursts from his clay body. Handmade by Takuro in his studio in Gifu, Japan Chiba Prefecture. A masterwork in social commentary of when the “culture” of art becomes so homogenous that you begin to lose true voice and unique perspectives. Truly punk rock.
This work was also pictured in his first eponymous monograph, with a signed calligraphic Japanese Cedar box and thumbprint from Takuro. Purchased directly from his gallerist Alison Jacques in London, original bill of sale included.
